Powerball fever in Michigan, $1.9 billion up for grabs tonight
World record $1.9 billion dollar Powerball jackpot has mid-Michigan in a lottery ticket buying frenzy.
Thousands of Michiganders are buying Powerball tickets for tonight's drawing, with a world record-setting $1.9 billion dollar jackpot on the table. According to the Michigan lottery, nearly 7.5 million tickets have been sold at retailers across the state. Six million of those tickets have been sold today.
No one matched the six numbers in the previous drawing:

If a lucky player wins tonight's drawing, it will be the largest jackpot ever won in lottery history. The last largest jackpot ever won was $1.58 billion, won by three people in California, Florida, and Tennessee in 2016.
Michigan lottery also reports that today's peak times for ticket sales were between 2 p.m. and 7:45 p.m. tonight.
