Apple Music's hidden gem: Apple Music Sing
Looking for a fun thing to do with family and friends? Consider trying out Apple Music's karaoke mode.
If you've updated your iPhone to iOS 16.2, you may have noticed that you have a variety of new features, including "Apple Music Sing." It's an exciting new feature that allows you to sing your favorite songs in real time.
The feature is only available to those with an Apple Music subscription. Here's how to use it:
1. Update your iPhone, iPad or Apple TV to the latest firmware.
In order to use this feature, you will have to be on the latest version of iOS, iPadOS, or tvOS. To do so, navigate to Settings > General > Software Update.
2. Go to Apple Music and enable sing mode
Go to Apple Music and play a song. When you do so, you will see the following icon in the lower right of the song you're currently playing.

Remember that it might not appear on most songs as Apple is constantly updating the app to include more pieces. Once you tap the icon, you can adjust the volume of the original music so you can sing the night away.
At the top of the screen you'll see a volume slider with a microphone on it -- sliding this up and down allows you to adjust the level of the vocals.
Apple already has a playlist of songs that are already good to go. Check it out here:
Stay tuned with Apple Music for updates to this playlist. Apple does plan to have Sing on Apply TV 4K later this year. It is currently not available to third-party devices yet, and Apple has yet to confirm that.
